Back to School Drives
Help us collect & raise funds to provide needed school supplies for individuals and Everett schools.
Weekend Food Bags (Backpack Program)
Help us fill weekend food bags for families struggling with food insecurity in Everett schools.
School Liason
We are looking for volunteers to act as a liaison in a local school to help keep us in the loop on the needs within five local schools. Liaisons would maintain good communication with school resource officers or administration to understand their needs and to communicate our applicable programs.
Christmas Outreach
This annual project provides children with a gift on Christmas day when they otherwise wouldn’t have anything to open.
FOOD & HOUSING PROGRAMS
Food Pantry
Help us organize and distribute needed food items to members in our community.
Holiday Food Baskets
Help us put together and distribute special food baskets to families in need at Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
Community Advocates
Help us stay current on community resources and support those in need by walking them through applicable resources to build an action plan.
EVERETT GOSPEL MISSION PARTNERSHIP
Sunday Meals
Providing finances to purchase meals every Sunday for the men at the shelter. (As soon as EGM resumes their volunteer meal teams, we will post opportunities to serve on a weekly basis.)
Women's Shelter Bible Study Leader
We are looking for volunteers willing to lead a devotion one hour per week. Devotions could include art therapy, prayer, praise and worship, short video speaker and discussion, bible verse conversation or other creative approaches that provide basic Christian teaching given the variety of faiths at the shelter.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH
Laundry Program
Help restore dignity for those experiencing homelessness or poverty by meeting a critical need. Laundry participants handle their own laundry while volunteers provide assistance with supplies and build connections during the waiting periods.
Adopt-a-Street
Help us keep our streets clean as we take pride in our city. 3 times per year, we will have volunteer opportunities to do a street clean up which helps us to develop a relationship with the city and meet new people that might benefit from the Compassion Center ministries.
Special Projects Team
From time to time, we find a member of the community that needs assistance with a home project, needs help moving, etc. We are looking for volunteers that could be on call to help with various projects
Summer Bash
Summer Bash is our annual event aimed at meeting needs in our community, building relationships with our neighbors, and providing a day of fun.
Facilities/Cleaning Team
There is a lot that goes on at the Compassion Center! If you are looking for a way to serve but prefer to be more behind the scenes, we are looking for volunteers that can help keep the center looking good and ready for new visitors. (No heavy lifting involved).
Lahai Health
Join our volunteer team serving the uninsured through a volunteer medical clinic. We are looking for healthcare providers, specialty providers, nurses, and receptionists. Learn more and fill out a volunteer application here.

LIFE RECOVERY & SUPPORT GROUPS
Support/Recovery Group Leaders
Do you have experience walking through a life-altering situation? Are you ready to lead others through healing and freedom too? We are looking for willing leaders to host various support and recovery groups for individuals in the community. (Groups include: widow support, abortion recovery, addiction recovery, grief support, divorce support, etc).
Cancer Care Program
Help support people going through cancer treatment with household help, one-on-one compassionate support, and prayer. Click here for more information.
Mentoring
We have opportunities for people to do life with other people and demonstrate how we live out our faith and grow to be more like Jesus in whatever season we find ourselves.
Life Skills Teachers
If you have knowledge, skills or abilities that others in our community can benefit from, we would love to talk to you about leading a life skills class! (Examples include ESL, basic finances, basic Christian beliefs, etc)
Encouragement Project
We are looking for volunteers to do home visits, make phone calls, or write letters to provide encouragement to the senior community that is largely experiencing isolation.
